A new trailer showed the sequence of Final Fantasy 16’s action combat system. We also got another look at the game’s epic summoning battle system, featuring an efreet towering above the on-screen human characters. brings a lot of intrigue to its two main characters, Clive and Joshua.
When we last saw Final Fantasy 16 in October, the trailer for “Ambition” revealed how crystals (a staple of Final Fantasy dating back to the original game) influence the story, giving us a glimpse into the game’s story. I was able to see the characters in detail. The world of Valistea, and its multiple kingdoms.
Its world resembles Ivalice, the land of Final Fantasy 12 and FF Tactics, though many have seen similarities between it and gritty fantasy settings such as Westeros from Game of Thrones. We explained this in an exclusive interview with the development team.
