Former Days Gone Director Teams With PlayStation Veteran To Form New AAA Studio, Announces ‘Web 3.0’ Game
Two Sony veterans have united to form a new AAA gaming studio, Liithos. Liithos’ debut game is Ashfall, and the studio describes it as “the first true Web3.0 AAA title for PC, console, and Hedera networks.” Yeah, that’s another blockchain idea.
Liithos was founded by two veteran PlayStation developers, Michael Mumbauer and John Garvin. Mumbauer was once responsible for Visual Arts on the PlayStation and was involved in projects such as Uncharted, The Last of Us, and Days Gone. He left Sony and became the founder of That’s No Moon. He left in less than a year..
Meanwhile, Garvin was the creative director of Bend Studio’s Days Gone and Siphon Filter.
