Forspoken Director Promises Patch to Improve Performance and Playability

Square Enix’s Forspoken could be completely mixed when it comes to performance, but the game’s director says some fixes are in the works. twitterForspoken director Tsuyoshi Aramaki did not provide a timeline for upcoming performance updates, but said the developers are working hard right now.

“We’ve been listening to all of your feedback and will continue to improve the overall performance, graphics, playability, and general updates and fixes for PS5 and game content across various PC hardware configurations. We are working hard towards the patch,” said Aramaki. I have written. “We are fully committed to making Forspoken the most enjoyable experience possible and will update you as soon as possible regarding the timing of the next patch.”

IGN’s performance review of Forspoken said the game’s quality and consistency fell short of expectations, and we’re hopeful that the patch will fix some of the performance and quality issues.

These issues included the PS5’s blurry old-gen look details, framerate drops into the mid-20s, and high input latency. These issues, along with the fact that Forspoken doesn’t feel like it “utilizes some of the key aspects of current generation consoles,” made Forspoken feel like a generational game.

Overall, we call Forspoken ‘okay’.
