Forspoken Trailer Getting Memed Elaborate Parody Versions for Bloodborne and More

There aren’t enough new promotional videos available on the internet for Square Enix and Luminous Productions’ upcoming action RPG Forspoken. It’s not the most favorable response, though, as people are parodying and making fun of the new trailer.

Forspoken’s official Twitter account new ad for the gameThe promo shows snippets of gameplay featuring narration from main character Frey. Many people on the Internet found the dialogue incredibly stark, and Forspoken’s most favorite response to the original post was, “This game is beautiful and the gameplay looks crazy, but the story / There is no doubt that the conversation gets on my nerves.”

Here’s what the hero says in the ad:

“So let’s be clear, I’m on a place you can’t call Earth… I’m seeing some weird dragons… and… oh yeah, I’m talking to Cuffs. Yeah, that’s what I’m doing right now. I’ll use magic, kill the jacked up beast, and probably fly next.

The internet would do what the internet did, and it didn’t take long for Forspoken ad parodies to start circulating on Twitter. It’s a stylistic adaptation, with lines like “I’m looking at a funny werewolf, and oh yeah, I’m talking to a doll!”

But the parody doesn’t stop at Bloodborne.1 video from YouTuber Jo Sung Won Super Mario Odyssey, Animal Crossing, is a parody of Danganronpa in the same video, with dialogue like Monokuma from Danganronpa.

These two posts are the main video parodies that are going viral today, but I wrote a parody of a Forspoken ad, and many other posts are amusing. Find jokes based on Metal Gear Rising, Metroid, Kingdom Hearts, Ace Attorney, and more below.

Forspoken is set to launch on January 24th, 2023 after several delays. The game takes place in the fantasy world of his Athia and follows Frey as he is dragged from modern-day New York into this mystical world.

In our hands-off preview last year, we enjoyed being an “off-kilter of the JRPG formula”, even if the game was “just a little bit”.
