FromSoftware’s Next Game Is in the ‘Final Stages of Development’

FromSoftware is about to complete the next game, which is clearly nearing the end of development.

In an interview with a Japanese game site 4GamerHidetaka Miyazaki, director of FromSoftware and Elden Ring, has revealed that the studio’s next game is already in the final stages of development.

According to an interview, the publication asked Miyazaki how the two unreleased games from FromSoftware were formed for the launch of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice in 2018. One of the unreleased games will be Elden Ring, but other unreleased games are still in the works and, according to Miyazaki, “development is currently in the final stages.”

Nothing is said about what the game is, but one of the hottest leaks about FromSoftware suggests that the studio is working on a new Armored Core game, the company’s mechanical battle simulator. I am.

Miyazaki himself revealed that he is already working on another game as a director with a plan to “work on more abstract fantasy than what he has done so far”.

The interview concludes with Miyazaki sharing with these new titles that further updates to Elden Ring are underway. Given that each of the past Souls games, such as Dark Souls and Bloodborne, has received a fairly substantial DLC campaign, the same can be expected with Elden Ring.

FromSoftware has not slowed down after the significant and commercial success of Elden Ring. Already one of the most reviewed games in 2022, Elden Ring feels like the official culmination of FromSoft’s legendary Soulsborn. Read IGN’s Elden Ring review here.
