Ghostbusters Fans Are Hacking Winston Zeddemore Into the Sega Genesis Game

Ghostbusters fans have added Winston Zedmore to the 1990 Sega Genesis game after the release of the fourth Ghostbusters from the original.

As reported by Ghostbusters News (And discovered by Kotaku), Zedmore was excluded as a playable character, even though it appeared in the first two movies and the Real Ghostbusters anime series.

The project is created by modders DaNirodias, BillyTime! Games When Master LunkuiShare the mod’s first look on Twitter (below) and showcase Zedmore in various suits and poses.

Two custom color palettes are also available, depicting the original Ghostbusters khaki uniform and the dark blue version of the sequel. Modder also revealed that Zedmore can jump stronger than other playable characters (Peter Benkman, Ray Stunts, Egon Spengler).

The mod is still under development, but BillyTime! Games YouTube channelShows Zedmore fighting various ghosts around the haunted house.

Of course, countless Ghostbusters games have been released since then, and technology has advanced considerably since the days of Genesis. The franchise steps into the world of virtual reality with the well-named Ghostbusters VR that appears in both MetaQuest 2 and PlayStation VR 2.
