Gotham Knights to Get Heroic Assault, a Free Four-Player Co-Op Mode, In November

While the Gotham Knights campaign will only support single-player or two-player co-op play, a new mode called Heroic Assault will launch for free on November 29, 2022, allowing up to four players in arena-based challenges. You can form a team.

WB Games Montréal announced the following news: twitter and Gotham Knights FAQ page, “Gotham poses a new challenge: Heroic Assault, a free 4-player co-op experience, comes to #GothamKnights on November 29, 2022.”

“Heroic Assault is an upcoming gameplay mode separate from the main story campaign,” reads the Gotham Knights FAQ. “Standalone mode supports up to four players in online co-op, offering a dedicated arena-like environment to complete specific objectives and defeat enemies on each floor (30 floors total).”

For those hoping that this will introduce 4-player co-op into the main story campaign, WB Games Montréal has not said it plans to introduce 4-player co-op outside of Heroic Assault. Hmm. Things could change at any moment, but it doesn’t look like it at the moment.

Gotham Knights will release on October 21, 2022, allowing players to experience the story in single-player or two-player co-op featuring Batgirl, Robin, Nightwing, and Red Hood.

WB Games Montréal previously shared with IGN why they chose to limit co-op to two when there are four heroes, stating, “By focusing more on the idea of instant team-ups for two, OK, I could.’ Build a world that works perfectly for solo play and paired off.”

In the final preview of Gotham Knights, he said, “It’s not an easy game to demo. I left hands-on time and wasn’t impressed with many aspects of combat, but I’m still interested in playing more.” I just realized something.”
