Halo Infinite Campaign Co-op Beta Drops Next Week

Finally, Halo Infinite seems to be approaching its long-promised campaign co-operative. 343 Industries has announced that a two-week beta preview of this feature will end next week and will run from July 11th to July 22nd.

The beta version includes the entire campaign and is available to anyone who owns Halo Infinite or has an Xbox Game Pass. Console players you want to try must join the Xbox Insider program, and the beta version of Steam is only available to Halo Insiders who have signed up for the program by July 5th.

Players must download the campaign build and start a new playthrough, not the existing progress. The progress of the beta version will not return to the full version of the game. However, this is a beta version only, and when full functionality is released, players will not need to save individual co-ops, and if necessary, co-op progress will be normal for all players involved. It counts in the playthrough of.

According to lead world designer John Marquee, this is how this works in a full release.

“The way we handle this is what we call” no spartan “in the company. When a player joins a fire team and selects a save slot to play, the game aggregates the state of all missions across those saves and setups. A world state where missions completed by all Fire Team members are marked as completed and missions not completed by all members are marked as incomplete. “

In addition, cross-platform play is fully supported, including xCloud, and the co-op experience should be the same regardless of platform.

In beta, 343 aims to catch protracted performance and technical issues prior to the full release of the feature. If you encounter any issues, we encourage you to report them on the Halo support site.

According to the Halo Infinite roadmap shared in May, the plan is to fully deploy both campaign cooperation and the option to replay the mission in August. Given what we called the single-player campaign “just what you need for this series” in last year’s review, we hope it will be a good experience to revisit the campaign with your friends.
