Halo Infinite’s Seasonal Updates Will Become More Consistent, Says 343

The third season of Halo Infinite begins today. 343 touts its launch as a starting point for a consistent stream of content moving forward.

in the post of xbox wire.

“I said in the season 3 preview that this is the beginning of Halo Infinite’s seasonality. But ‘seasonality’ is limited. To me, seasonality is about consistency. Consistency in everything. We’re very confident in how far we’ve come in Season 3, and we’re confident that we can continue to improve that consistency and avoid the long seasons of the past altogether.

“We’re going to be more consistent. We’re going to continue to evolve the game in close partnership with our players. We’re focused on shipping Season 3, and, as the Chief said, we”[r]Ready to go back to work. “

Halo Infinite Season 3 Moves Forward

Baron also detailed all the content that’s being added to Halo Infinite today. Season 3: Echoes Within includes 2 new Arena maps, 1 Big Team Battle map, a gun game mode called Halo’s Escalation Slayer, new weapons, and more.

The first two seasons of Halo Infinite have never been a smooth ride. After a successful free-to-play launch in late 2021, the Halo community quickly grew frustrated with long content droughts, delays in big features like Forge, and persistent Big Team Battle issues.

The future of the Halo franchise itself was uncertain earlier this year after 343 Industries’ Infinite’s development team was heavily cut. While Microsoft claims 343 is “extremely important” to Halo’s success, it looks like there are still some big pivots in the franchise’s work, including a possible move to Unreal Engine.
