IO Interactive has announced that it is creating an online fantasy RPG. The developers of Hitman are pivoting into a new genre with a new project inspired by his fantasy-like gamebook Fighting, which lets readers choose their own path.

The company explained that the diversity of roles within the fighting fantasy books reflects how they want to build the game. brought everyone together to create a unique experience.

In 2020, IO Interactive revealed it was working on a James Bond game. He said he was also working on additional new IPs of his for late 2021, but no further details were provided. It was later reported to be a fantasy IP with creatures such as dragons. The report is now verified.
