Hogwarts Legacy Delayed on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One

The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Hogwarts Legacy have been delayed until April 4th, while the Nintendo Switch version launches on July 25th.

The game’s official Twitter account posted an update (along with the Switch date reveal below), but didn’t explain why the final-gen version was delayed. It will be released on February 10th as planned.

“The team is excited to bring the game to you and we want to bring you the best gaming experience possible on all platforms.

This marks the second postponement of Hogwarts Legacy. This is because it was originally scheduled to start during this year’s holiday period before being pushed back to a February date.

Developer Avalanche Software is slowly but surely sharing the different elements of the game, introducing Hogsmeade Quest, the flying broomstick section, and the dark magic of Hogwarts.

One of the biggest controversies surrounding Hogwarts’ legacy is its relationship with Harry Potter author JK Rowling. Warner Bros. has stated that the author was not directly involved with the game, but said its management “she has the right to express her personal opinion.”
