Immortals of Aveum Release Date Delayed to ‘Add More PC Functionality’

EA’s upcoming magical FPS, Immortals of Aveum, has been delayed due to “more PC features” among other updates.

Originally scheduled for a July release, Immortals was delayed by about a month to August 22nd. This follows Ascendant Studios’ “exciting” response at the PlayStation Showcase and Summer Games Fest.

“As you know, this is our first self-funded game as an independent studio,” the studio wrote. blog post. “Five years ago, we had an ambitious plan to create an original Magic FPS in a new fantasy world. I’ve pushed the limits of what I thought I could do.Now I can see the finish line.”

Ascendant Studios says the delay is a response to feedback from recent previews being made to “realize the full vision.”

“This will give us time to polish the game even more, finish optimizing it for all platforms, and have a strong launch. It’s up to us and you to get it right.” ‘ the studio wrote.

We compared Immortals of Aveum to Heretics and Hexen in May previews and thought it was “a spiritual connection at best.” It’s also notable for being one of his first Unreal Engine 5 games to hit the market.

“I’m not optimistic that the full context of Jack’s story will make his or anyone else’s conversations in this game any more bearable when you get the full version, but it fuels the magic. I’m pretty confident that the fight will hold up “I was hooked right up until the end,” wrote IGN’s Ryan McCaffrey.

We’ll get to see for ourselves when Immortals of Aveum hits PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5 on August 22nd.
