Johnny Cage Actor Might Be Teasing Mortal Kombat 12

Andrew Bowen, voice actor of Johnny Cage in the Mortal Kombat series, is back at Warner Bros.

In the deleted tweet, Bowen shared a video of a voice actor standing in Warner Bros. Studio Lot before staring at the camera with a mischievous smile.It’s the latest A series of tweets Bowen shares online about him working on something at many of Warner Bros.

Fans quickly pointed out that this was yet another bullying in the next Mortal Kombat game. This hasn’t been so subtly suggested in the past year. Jonathan Andersen of NetherRealm Studios previously shared a photo containing a desktop file reference to MortalKombat12.

NetherRealm hasn’t revealed what’s in it yet, but it does confirm that a new game is in progress. When IGN interviewed NetherRealm’s creative director Ed Boon, he had no problem confirming that the team was “working on another game,” but he was free to decide what it was. I couldn’t say.

NetherRealm Interactive is a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Interactive and is now part of the integrated Warner Bros. Discovery group. The merger of the first companies questioned the future of several WB game studios, including the Nether Realm, but does not appear to have influenced the development of new games by Mortal Kombat developers.
