Kirby’s Return to Dreamland Deluxe Is on the Way in February

There’s been a lot of love for remakes and remasters in today’s Nintendo Direct, including a surprise for Kirby fans with Kirby’s Return to Dreamland Deluxe, set to release on Nintendo Switch on February 24, 2023.

Return to Dreamland Deluxe first debuted in 2011 and is a 2.5D side-scroller focused on Kirby’s Copy Abilities, including the debut of Mecha Copy Abilities. There’s also a mini-game collection that includes returning games like Samurai Kirby and new games like Magolor’s Tome Trackers.

This version supports multiplayer for up to 4 players on the same system using Joy-Con controllers. Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be any online multiplayer.

We gave the original Return of Dreamland a 7.5, calling it “certainly flawless with very few flaws” but “competent and competent”, but with little in the way of new or original gameplay.
