Kojima Productions Threatens Legal Action Against Those Who Claim Hideo Kojima Was Linked to Shinzo Abe Assassination
Following the racist joke that linked the assassination of Hideo Kojima and Japan’s longest-serving Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Kojima Productions responded to those who contributed to “the spread of false news and rumors of false information.” Threatened legal action.
Kojima Productions Today, July 9, the statement “strongly condemns the spread of fake news and rumors that convey false information. We do not tolerate such defamation and may take legal action in some cases. I will consider that. “

As reported by PC Gamer, The reason for this statement came from a racist joke that seems to have started with 4Chan (shocking, I know) who said Kojima was the assassin behind Abe’s death, Former Prime Minister killed during a campaign speech For the next election on Friday, July 8th.
Abe was shot twice and died in the hospital, and Tetsuya Yamagami was arrested at the scene and admitted to have shot the former Prime Minister.
This so-called joke was picked up by a French comedian in a mocking tweet and retweeted by the far-right French politician Damien Rieu associated with the Generation Identitarian movement he co-founded. Liu took the joke as a real fact and began to spread it.

Despite all the signs that this is clearly a joke of some illness, the image that falsely linked Kojima to the assassination appeared “in the Iranian press, as part of the Greek news broadcast.” ..
Since then, Liu has apologized, but the damage has already occurred. Currently, Kojima Productions is doubling, which is not a joke and informs people to take legal action if this defamation of Hideo Kojima continues.
