Mass Effect Writer Was ‘Surprised’ By Demand For Garrus Romance

BioWare, the developer of Mass Effect, didn’t intend to make the now-loved Garrus a romance option for the second game, but was “blind” when fans asked for it.

and Reddit’s “Ask Me Anything”Drew Karpyshyn, Mass Effect writer, was asked if the BioWare team always intended to bring Garrus and Tali back to the second game, or if it was later decided in response to a player’s positive reaction. ..

“We always knew they would come back as companions,” Carpicin said. “I was a little surprised that the fans wanted the option of romance. Tari could see me. You had never seen her face, so it’s vague to imagine something human. It was easy (but she had those weird legs). Gallas blinded me, “he added. .. “But after seeing what the fans wanted, we decided to offer it.”

Mass Effect 2 was released more than a decade ago in 2010, but last year when the trilogy was released in one package as Mass Effect: The Legendary Edition, the conversation about the game reignited.

BioWare has also been bullying more about the fifth game lately. And at the beginning of July, it was revealed that Guardians of the Galaxy and Deus Ex’s prequel writer Mary Demar joined the team as Senior Narrative Director.

Mass Effect 5 was “aggressively prototyped” as of February 2022 and was first announced in December 2021 due to the lack of an official title. BioWare has also released a new teaser image with some secrets for fans to decipher. Addresses (and rejects) obvious leaks that suggest that the former protagonist Commander Shepard is back in the new game.
