MultiVersus Has Seemingly Passed 10 Million Players

New platform fighter MultiVersus appears to have surpassed 10 million players in just three weeks.

according to tracker.gg (via PC gamer) Since opening beta three weeks ago, the game has hit a whopping 10,268,259 active accounts across all platforms.

This isn’t official, but tracker.gg pulls the data directly from the game, so it seems accurate. We have contacted Warner Bros. for confirmation.

New Warner Bros. games feature iconic characters like Batman, Bugs Bunny and Shaggy and Velma from Scooby-Doo.

MultiVersus proved to be a surprise hit with an absolutely massive beta launch that saw huge numbers of players flock to the wacky new fighting game. Premonition. Season 1 introduces new characters. This is his Morty from the popular animated show “Rick & Morty”.

Details for Season 1 were revealed quickly, but it looks like it’s going to be a while before MultiVersus players get their hands on new playable characters. The game’s first season (and official launch) has been postponed, and no official date has been announced.

However, the developers of MultiVersus are keen to point out that the delay has nothing to do with the Warner Bros. Discovery merger.

IGN’s MultiVersus review called the game “a raucously fun competitive platform fighter that rewards players who learn the strengths and weaknesses of different casts of characters and work as part of a team. Focused on online 2v2 Being there means it lacks the pick-and-play nature of games like Smash Bros., but it also does a great job of setting itself apart from other games in the genre. It may take time to expand the currently limited stage and character selection to meet its glorious potential, but the foundation is already solid.”

It remains to be seen how the game will go from here, but it is certainly off to a great start. 10 million players can’t be wrong.
