ah. Nintendo won’t be at his E3 2023. Neither will Xbox. Sony…well, I knew Sony and ESA hadn’t been racing for a while. So the ‘Big 3’ meant we all wanted the most legendary game show of all to be triumphant and perhaps jubilant, but a no-show. . I won’t write about “Is E3 related?” or “Do we still need shows like E3?” I just want to say how truly disappointing it was to see E3 get lost again.Some of the greatest E3 moments of all time came from Nintendo. Although he stopped hosting live conferences in 2012, E3’s limited-time Directs remains one of the most memorable parts of E3, even though technically he’s not part of it.
Even though Nintendo didn’t have a live press conference, its presence on the show floor has always been huge, and it’s one of those must-visit places if you’re among those lucky enough to attend E3. Nintendo usually hosts a Treehouse live event right after his Direct, offering hours of live gameplay of the game we just learned about. It was very exciting and fun, but it’s gone this year.

Watching this presentation again, it’s very strange. I’ve never seen one before and if someone had explained it to me I would have thought they’d made it up. , featuring a choreographed fight sequence between Satoru Iwata and Reggie Fils-Aime, revealing a new Super Smash Bros. I forgot how great this is. Please go and see it again. You know.
E3 2018: Every Fighter…so Far
The presentation itself lacked memorable moments between segments. Looking at it again, this is a pretty run-of-the-mill E3 Direct. Almost indistinguishable from other Nintendo Directs. However, at E3 2018, it was announced that every fighter who has appeared in Super Smash Bros. so far will appear in Ultimate. It seemed impossible, but they not only delivered on their promise but added even more as the years went by. has a special place in my heart. Mr. Miyamoto, who grabbed it, frowned on both IGN and Nintendo, so I had no choice but to brace myself. And while Nintendo had a great year in 2017 with the release of Switch and Breath of the Wild, 2018 was the year the Switch fully cemented its place in popular culture, with Super Smash Bros. I think Ultimate had a lot to do. And.
E3 2015: Nintendo Muppets
It’s not technically a Muppets, but it was created by the Jim Henson Company. The amalgamation of two creative giants has brought us his one of the best and bittersweet Nintendo Digital E3 presentations, as it will be Satoru Iwata’s final show as Nintendo’s president. 2015 was also a time when Nintendo looked pretty awful as a company, with the Wii U not taking off and being considered a failure as a console. The first game featured, Star Fox Zero, had…well, some interesting ideas. But the whole presentation is so heartfelt and captures the emotions that Nintendo fans have inside us better than any other presentation.
E3 2004: almost everything
As I said earlier, the Reaction Guy meme was born at this Nintendo E3 press conference. The first photo of the meme was taken in 2003 when Nintendo announced Pac-Man vs. GameCube. But I’ll touch on that second photo for a moment. where do i start? I think so at first. Logical enough. It all started with someone most of us don’t recognize, a striking figure named Reggie Fils-Aime. “My name is Reggie. I’m about kicking ass, I’m about taking names, and we’re about making games.” Legend! The announcement of gaming’s biggest president was a pretty interesting way to start things off, but during the same presentation came the announcement of the Nintendo DS. But in hindsight, maybe everyone should have given them a bigger round of applause.
The greatest Nintendo E3 moment ever happens at the end of the presentation. It’s important to point out that E3 2004 was still a very business-focused event and a good portion of the presentation included sales figures and bar charts. Iwata came out after the DS presentation to talk once again about Nintendo’s success and how the DS would change things, but then he mentioned Nintendo’s next console. ’ and a gasp is heard from the crowd. He goes on to confirm that Nintendo is working on a new console that will “create a gaming revolution”.

Finally, Reggie thanked the crowd and subtly pointed out places players from another world might visit soon. When the trailer rolled, it looked new and somehow familiar, but when the camera rolled around a real-life Link on Epona, all doubts were cleared and the crowd went bananas. That’s the source of Part 2 of the “Reaction Guys” meme, and you can feel it when the crowd watches the footage shot on the spot. The conference hall is just bursting with jubilant energy, and people are screaming in disbelief at what is in front of them. Seriously, if you haven’t seen the public video shot from the crowd’s point of view, I highly recommend doing so, even if you’re not a fan of Zelda or Twilight Her Princess The energy is so pure It’s real and it’s impossible to keep smiling. Miyamoto appears with the Hylian Shield and Master Sword!
Even if Nintendo did an E3 Timed Direct this year, I think we would all be in a worse situation without the following excitement from people experiencing Nintendo products on the show floor. And for fans who have dreamed all their lives to get their hands on a game that was announced just hours ago, this is a huge blow. We are just experiencing the pain and the blow from the negative economic situation. To all Nintendo fans, we sincerely hope that Nintendo will return to E3.
