Nintendo Reveals Changes Coming in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s February Update

Nintendo has shared what changes are coming in the long-awaited February update for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, but has yet to reveal an exact release date.

Containing some bug fixes and some quality of life improvements, the patch has long been anticipated by fans after Pokemon Scarlet and Violet launched with Nintendo itself forced to apologize.

As outlined, most of the new quality of life changes Nintendo siterevolves around the Pokémon Box, and Nintendo aims to make it a little easier to manage your Pokémon’s stats all in one place.

From the Pokémon’s overview screen, players can change nicknames, markings, holding items, and titles related to marks or ribbons, rearrange moves, make Pokémon remember and forget moves, use TMs, and more. It is now possible.

The patch also makes it easier to swap held items and move Pokémon around in bulk, making it easier to know which Pokémon are on your battle team.

When it comes to bug fixes, perhaps a bigger concern for the nearly 20 million people who bought Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Nintendo has addressed several issues across different categories, including Terra Raid and Battle.

Terra Pokémon’s health isn’t accurately reflected in the HP bar, connectivity issues, National Dex Pokémon are showing up in the Pardea Pokédex, random items are unintentionally showing up in the world, etc. (full list below) You can check it in your notes), all will be dealt with.

Nintendo also confirmed that it will continue to update Pokemon Scarlet and Violet to address further issues in the future, but did not provide any information on when the next update will arrive.

This February update marks the second release of the game despite some reported issues since launch. These included his broken PvE experience in Endgame, rogue battle stadiums, replication glitches, odd ways to run at double speed, and more.

Poor performance was also a major factor in the 6/10 review, as noted by IGN. The way Scarlett and Violet feel deeply unfinished.”
