Nintendo Reveals the First Special Edition Nintendo Switch OLED

Nintendo has announced the first special edition OLED Nintendo Switch with the theme of Splatoon 3.

publication Nintendo’s YouTube channelThe Splatoon 3 console comes with a unique dock and Joy-Con controller, all with scribble-like artwork for the game and, of course, a splash of ink. The dock itself is white with a yellow exclamation mark, Joy-Con on the left has navy blue mixed in purple and yellow on the right blended in green.

The console will be released on August 26th, but this is two weeks before the release date of Splatoon 3 on September 9th, so a copy of the game is not included.

Nintendo hasn’t disclosed price details yet, so it’s unclear how much the new console will push customers back. Not only is this Nintendo’s first special edition OLED model, but the lack of games is also a new move for the company, so the price isn’t really predictable.

Some limited editions of the original Switch have been released, including Pokemon: Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
