Nintendo Switch Indie World Showcase November 2022: Everything Announced

Nintendo shared a different take on the future of indie games on Nintendo Switch thanks to today’s Indie World Showcase. In this roughly 25-minute presentation, Nintendo shared updates on previously released titles, some exciting ports, and some new surprises.

From Sports Story (the sequel to Golf Story, originally announced in 2019), to finally reaching its release month, to indie favorites Inscryption coming to Nintendo Switch, see everything that happened at today’s Indie World Showcase To do.

Sports Story Coming to Nintendo Switch in December

The long-awaited sequel to 2017’s Golf Story finally arrives on Nintendo Switch next month. Sports Story is more than golf and even more than sports. The quirky trailer showed golf, tennis, soccer, BMX, volleyball, and cricket. But when he’s not competing, he’s exploring dungeons, shopping, hanging out at his mall, and solving mysteries.

Rogue Legacy 2 Launches Today on Nintendo Switch

The esteemed roguelite Rogue Legacy 2 is coming to the Switch eShop later today. The Switch version includes the Fabled Heroes update with tons of new subclasses and items.

Rogue Legacy 2 launched earlier this year. review“Rogue Legacy 2 is a groundbreaking sequel that essentially rebuilds the highly influential 2013 original into a modern roguelite that roughly rivals the best in the genre.”

Pepper Grinder is Devolver Digital’s new action-adventure.

Treasure hunter Pepper is shipwrecked and robbed, and forced to use her trusty grill to retrieve her stuff. This gorgeous pixel art action-adventure features lightning-fast action with fluid drill combat. Along the way, collect treasures and other riches, and use them to upgrade Pepper and unlock more paths on the world map.

Pepper Grinder is coming to Nintendo Switch in 2023.

Have a Nice Death: Roguelike Death Starring Roguelike Hits Switch Next Year

This roguelike impressed us last year Have a Nice Death is coming to Nintendo Switch ahead of its release on PC. The game stars Reaper himself with a corporate twist. Death is an overworked CEO who must restore the company’s work-death balance by battling his own men. It has lightning-fast hack-and-slash combat, complete with combos and spell and weapon upgrades.

Have a Nice Death comes to Nintendo Switch on March 22, 2023.

Explore the French countryside in the Dordogne

From French indie studio Un Je Ne Sais Quoi, Dordogne is an immersive narrative experience starring Mimi. She is the woman who returns to her late grandmother’s house where she spent every summer. Play as Mimi, past and present, as you uncover her family secrets and explore the French countryside.

Dordogne is coming to Switch in Spring 2023.

A Space for Unfettered People is about young love in rural Indonesia

This slice-of-life adventure game is set in rural Indonesia in the late 1990s. They tell the relationship of a boy and girl with supernatural powers who are forced into action when a mysterious force threatens the existence of their town. The gameplay is mostly reminiscent of exploring the town, meeting townspeople, and uncovering the secrets of the town and each other.

A Space for the Unbound is coming to Nintendo Switch on January 19, 2023.

Once Upon A Jester Brings Improvisational Theater To Nintendo Switch

“Once Upon a Jester” seeks to bring the world of improvisational theater to video games. Royal stars best friends Jester and Sock, who hatch a plan to steal her diamonds. For that, you will have to enter the Royal Theater His Spectacle. This takes them to a strange kingdom where anything can happen, and no two performances in the game are ever the same.

Once Upon a Jester will be available on Switch later today.

Desta: The Memories Between Features Dodgeball In Your Dreams

From the creators of Monument Valley, Desta: The Memories Between adds dodgeball elements to the isometric perspective of the famous mobile game. In this game, players compete in metaphorical ball games in their dreams, where perfect throws and trick shots can change the course of the story. With a strong focus on story and dialogue, the game also features a full voice cast.

Desta: The Memories Between is coming to Switch in early 2023.

Goodbye World is about the pain of developing a video game

Goodbye World is almost meta because it’s a video game about two friends trying to find the perfect idea for their next video game. While following the characters’ daily struggles, you’ll also play a handheld, retro-inspired puzzle-platformer similar to the Game Boy.

Goodbye World is coming to Nintendo Switch later this month.

Aka takes players on a journey to find inner peace

Aka puts the player in the shoes of Aka, a retired warrior seeking peace of mind on an island paradise. In this cozy open-world game, you can tend your garden, build a shelter, feed baby dragons, and even lie on top of a giant capybara. Aka can also embark on quests to meet characters and face ghosts from their past.

Aka comes to Nintendo Switch on December 15th.

Blanc is a non-text co-op adventure starring a fawn and a cub

Also featured at the May 2022 Indie World Showcase, Bran is a non-text co-op adventure featuring a fawn and a wolf cub. Two players must coordinate and use their abilities to navigate the snowy landscape. The game features online and local co-op play.

Bran comes to Nintendo Switch on February 14, 2023.

Solve botanical puzzles and tend the gardens of Botany Manor

Botany Manor is all about gardening. You play as Arabelle Green, a retired botanist who lives in a historic 19th century mansion. Preserve your forgotten botanical collection and take care of your mansion’s garden by solving botanical puzzles. The player must explore the mansion to find clues, newspaper clippings, and more to develop her own gardening skills.

Botany Manor is coming to Nintendo Switch in 2023.

Cook delicious South Indian food at Bemba

Venba is a wholesome story cooking game set in the 1980s by an Indian family who recently immigrated to Canada. You play as the mother of the family. The mother wants to reconnect with her heritage by cooking a variety of South Indian dishes. Branching dialogue tells stories of love and loss, and the game’s soundtrack is inspired by Indian musicals.

Venba is coming to Nintendo Switch in Spring 2023.

Oni: Road to be the Mightiest Oni Is a 3D Action-Adventure

Oni: Road to be the Mightiest Oni is a 3D action-adventure game with an art style somewhat reminiscent of Dragon Quest. You play as a vengeful demonic warrior who joins forces with spirits to battle ancient demons. Both characters are controlled simultaneously using a single Joy-Con controller. Be careful though, as some demon enemies are invincible and you have no choice but to flee.

Oni: Road to be the Mightiest Oni comes to Nintendo Switch on March 9, 2023.
