Nintendo’s Doug Bowser Says Tears of the Kingdom’s $70 Price Reflects Its ‘Full, Deeply Immersive Experience’

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom was Nintendo’s first $70 game, and Nintendo of America president Doug Bowser shared why Nintendo chose to increase the price of this particular Nintendo Switch title. I’m here.

“We look at what the game has to offer,” Bowser said. AP News in a recent interview. “I think fans will find this to be an incredibly complete, deeply immersive experience. The price reflects the type of experience fans can expect when playing this particular game. That’s not necessarily the price we have, it’s actually a fairly common pricing model here, in Europe, or in other parts of the world, and the game itself can have different prices.”

Bowser’s statement echoes Nintendo’s previous statements on the matter. Shortly after revealing Zelda’s $70 price tag, Nintendo admitted to determining “the suggested retail price of Nintendo products on a case-by-case basis.”

Tears of the Kingdom is currently the only $70 game on Nintendo’s publishing slate.Upcoming Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and Lost Demons and Advance Wars 1+2: Reboot Camp listed for $60. Even Pikmin 4 launches rear Nintendo will release Zelda for $70, making it retail for $60.

Nintendo is still keeping most details about the Breath of the Wild sequel secret. The latest trailer (released alongside the Collector’s Edition and amiibo) showed the new vehicle and enemy types, but the game is still barely two months old and priced at $70. And given the fact that it has the largest file size of any first-party Switch game, this game is certainly packed with secrets and content.

Fans are hoping Nintendo will spill the beans soon, but Zelda won’t be at PAX East later this week. boston herald Nintendo will be present at the show, but “The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will not be shown at PAX East 2023.” Instead, Nintendo could bring March’s Bayonetta Origins or April’s Advance Wars remake to the event. Highly sexual

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom launches for Nintendo Switch on May 12, 2023. It looks like the Tears of the Kingdom artbook has leaked early, so keep an eye on the internet while you wait.
