Overwatch 2 Under DDOS Attack on Launch Day
If you’re having trouble finding matches in Overwatch 2, we shared that Blizzard is currently suffering from a massive distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack that is hampering successful matchmaking.
Blizzard president Mike Ybarra has shared that Overwatch 2 servers have been hit by a massive DDoS attack and that the team is working to mitigate the damage.

It’s unclear how long it will take for the servers to be fully operational, but it’s ruining the Overwatch 2 launch Blizzard has been planning for months.
Social media is full of players sharing failed matchmaking attempts and extended queues, partly related to DDoS attacks.
according to Official Overwatch 2 Issue Pageboth PC and console players are encountering an “unexpected server error”, along with issues like certain cosmetics and items not appearing in their collections.
The player is also disconnected from the server.
