Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Tactica Confirmed for Additional Platforms

Atlus has announced that Persona 3 Reload will be released on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, as well as PC via Steam.

This confirmation came after it was announced during Microsoft’s Xbox Games Showcase that Reload would launch on Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, and PC via Windows. However, Reload will not launch on Nintendo Switch, and this console is not included in Atlus’ list of additional platforms.

Scheduled to launch in early 2024 and available on Xbox Game Pass at launch, Persona 3 Reload is a remake of the popular Persona 3. Enhanced audio with updated combat and graphics to resemble Persona 5, and new English narration.

However, “Reload” does not include the additional content of “Persona 3 Fes” and “Persona 3 Portable” including female protagonists. In an interview with IGN, producer Ryota Niizuma and chief director Kazuhisa Wada confirmed that Reload will only include content present in the original Persona 3.

“First of all, I would like to say that the basic concept of the Persona 3 remake was to remake Persona 3, so there is no FES or Portable content,” said Niizuma. said. “We wanted to get really serious about recreating the Persona 3 experience.”

Persona 3 was originally released on the PlayStation 2 in 2006. Persona 3 Fes was his 2007 add-on disc that added updates to the original game, and Persona 3 Portable was released on his PSP, adding features such as the ability to go beyond the protagonist and directly control his party members. bottom. This female protagonist also first appeared in Persona 3 Portable, but players don’t seem to have the option to play as her on reload.

Persona 5 Tactica is a new tactical RPG spin-off featuring many of our favorite Persona 5 characters. However, they are displayed in a more chibi art style. Unlike Persona 5’s turn-based combat, Persona 5 Tactica’s combat seems to be more strategy-focused, with players running their characters across the battlefield and controlling how and who to hit different enemies. and decide where to place it.
