Persona 5 Tactica Trailer Reveals New Playable Character

Atlus may have accidentally given fans a little more profit by revealing a new playable character in the latest trailer for Persona 5 Tactica.

according to reports game ranta two-minute character spotlight trailer (above) that breaks down the moves and abilities of Joker, Mona, and Erina, also revealing a character called Toshiro who is supposedly playable in-game.

It appears briefly at about 36 seconds after the start of the trailer, but the objective of the mission is to “make Toshiro reach his target destination.” There is also a person, presumably Toshiro, in the lower right corner of the screen where the health bars of playable characters such as Joker and Mona are.

However, this character’s health bar is much smaller than the others, and he has no MP or “actions” available, so it could be just an escort mission. Toshiro won’t be appearing again in the trailer, so fans will have to wait and see if his character holds any more significance.

The trailer showcases what players can do when controlling other characters. Joker has a long-range disposable pistol and a special ability called Phantom Judge that can deal great damage to guarding enemies.

Mona’s wind ability allows him to knock enemies out of cover ready for follow-up from teammates, and his wind wind ability deals damage over a vast area. Finally, Elina can target multiple enemies with her weapon and has a special ability called the Flag of Liberty that heals nearby allies and weakens nearby enemies.

Persona 5 Tactica was announced at the 2023 Xbox Game Showcase as a grid-based tactical RPG similar to Fire Emblem and XCOM. That announcement coincided with the announcement of Persona 3 Reload, a remake of his original PS2 game.

Persona 5 Tactica launches November 17th for PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and series, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and Windows.
