PlayStation Plus May 2023 Games Revealed

Sony has revealed its May 2023 PlayStation Plus games lineup, which includes Chivalry 2 (PS4 and PS5), GRID Legends (PS4 and PS5), and Descenders (PS4).

GRID Legends is a 2022 racing title from Codemasters featuring a documentary-style live-action story mode Driven to Glory, as well as a new race mode, 22-player multiplayer service, and a main career mode. In his 7/10 review for IGN, he described the game as a “definite step up” from his 20+ year history-bending predecessor in the franchise.

Chivalry 2, on the other hand, takes a multiplayer-first approach to medieval combat, immersing players in massive 64-player brawls as they compete for different objectives across a vast map. Players can choose from his twelve classes, each with their own strengths, weaknesses, and his style of gameplay. His PS5 version of the game runs 4K at 60 fps, which is also a benefit.

Indie developer RageSquid’s Descenders rounds out PlayStation’s May offering, featuring “detailed physics” paired with procedurally generated downhill freeriding levels. Players can unlock new bikes and outfits while improving their online “rep system” in this “easy to pick up but hard to master” game.

Through Monday (May 1), PlayStation Plus subscribers can also download last month’s products before they’re gone, including Behavior Interactive’s Meet Your Maker, Sackboy: A Big Adventure, and Tails of Iron.
