Psychonauts 2’s Making-Of Documentary Is Now Available to Everyone for Free
Double Fine PsychOdyssey, a 32-part, 20+ hour documentary chronicling the development of Psychonauts 2, is now available for everyone to watch for free on YouTube.

“Ten years after the release of flagship video game Psychonauts, Double Fine Productions returns to its most famous franchise with Psychonauts 2,” the official description reads. “Faced with the pressure to produce worthy sequels, studios are currently struggling with overly ambitious designs, low morale, technical challenges, and financial difficulties while the world is going through turbulent times. must confront.
“Double Fine PsychOdyssey is the direct sequel to the critically acclaimed Double Fine Adventure series, offering even deeper insight into the passion, humor and heartbreak of video game development.”
The Double Fine team also noted that Double Fine PsychOdyssey took six years to create and was built from thousands of hours of footage.
In his review of Psychonauts 2, released in August 2021, he said, “It might bring in a bit of mid-2000s action-platformer awkwardness, but Psychonauts 2 is what I expected. It’s still all things, a sequel to one of my favorite games.”
