Resident Evil 4 Remake’s VR Mode Will Be Free DLC

Capcom has confirmed that Resident Evil 4 Remake’s virtual reality mode will be free DLC for PSVR 2 on PlayStation 5.

Revealed on Japan’s Resident Evil Twitter account (below), Capcom was the first to announce that development has begun for a VR mode, before confirming that it will be free DLC.

Given that development on the virtual reality version has only just begun, it’s unlikely to release alongside the main game on March 24th, but this is similar to other recent VR additions to Resident Evil. is.

Resident Evil Village, for example, will only get a virtual reality mode today, February 22nd, to coincide with the launch of the PlayStation VR2 headset, even though the main game launched in May 2021.

Capcom revealed Resident Evil 4 Remake would get a VR mode when it first announced the game in June, allowing fans to play the game on a whole new level of immersion.

Capcom also released a VR version of the original game in October 2021, so this isn’t the first time the game has been made available in virtual reality.

In a 9/10 review of this version, IGN said: , Armature has crafted the best version of Resident Evil 4 to date. “
