Simon Pegg Plays Headmaster Black in Hogwarts Legacy

Simon Pegg has joined the magical world of Harry Potter as the voice of Phineas Nigellus Black, the notorious spiteful headmaster in Hogwarts Legacy.

Pegg describes his character, Sirius Black’s great-great-grandfather, as being the “least popular” headmaster in the history of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. You’re there to “ruin your efforts”, but would rather take care of your surgically manicured beard than perform your actual school duties.

“We’ve seen Phineas in the books and in the movies. He was a portrait of Dumbledore’s office, but this is the time when he was actually an active headmaster,” Pegg points out in the announcement video, revealing the legacy of Hogwarts. Introducing the behind the scenes of. And introduce his character.

Despite being Sirius Black’s ancestor, Phineas does not seem to possess the same qualities. As such, it will both help and hinder players as they progress through the game.

The cast also includes Leslie Nicol as Professor Matilda Weasley, vice-principal of Hogwarts, Candice Kane as Professor Onay, a gifted prophet and divination teacher, and an astronomy teacher who is devoted to science. It also stars Sam Kapila as Professor Satyavati Shah, who is a .

Luke Youngblood, who played Lee Jordan in the Harry Potter films, has also been confirmed. He changes homes to provide the voice of Ravenclaw student Everett Cropton, as opposed to Asif Ali’s Ravenclaw character Mahendra Perwan.

Sebastian Croft and Amelia Gething provide voice options for the game’s playable avatars, and Jason Anthony voices the nearly headless Nick and Sorting Hat. The hat uses knowledge from the student’s past and input from the player to decide which Hogwarts house is right for them, but you’ll find out soon enough.

Hogwarts Legacy will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on February 10th, on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on April 4th, and on Nintendo Switch on July 25th.
