Skull & Bones Appears to Be Arriving in November

Ubisoft’s open-world pirate game Skull & Bones is reportedly scheduled to be released on November 8th, after years of troubled development.

As reported by EurogamerIndustry insider @ALumia_Italia Share the release date found on Twitter (below) In the obvious Xbox store entry, It also lists a large number of DLC packs for games. These include pre-order bonuses, Bloody Bones Legacy missions, Aschen Corsair missions, Smuggler Pass tokens, digital soundtracks and artbooks, and premium bonus packs.

It’s not clear what these are individually, but their placement on the Xbox store means that Ubisoft is approaching the official announcement of Skull & Bones’ release date. Repeatedly leaked Tom Henderson then followed up to add weight to the November 8 release date (also in the tweet above),

And that’s not the only evidence that a major exposure is coming. Skull & Bones will be rated by ESRB on June 27th (and by the Korean rating board in May) and games will usually only be presented to the rating board when they are in full or near perfection. Gameplay was also leaked in April, giving a fairly comprehensive overview of the game. It’s not clear from which stage of development this is, but we know that some people are playing Skull & Bones to test with Ubisoft.

The game was first released five years ago in 2017, but has fallen behind and is reported to have been in development for eight years as of July last year. It reportedly entered the alpha stage at this point after undergoing a major reboot in September 2020.
