Skyrim Mod Offers 16K Dragon Textures For the Inevitable 2050 Release

Skyrim has already received countless editions and upgrades, but this new PC mod seems to prove the future of the game for years. 16K texture mod uploaded by Nexus Mods user xilamonstrr Allows players to see all scales and scars of the dragon in the game.

This may seem overkill, but this page provides some reasonable explanations for why 16k is a useful addition when most games are still sticking to 1440p. Basically, Skyrim’s dragon is much larger than any other enemy in the game and has much more skin stretched than regular enemies.

“It’s a good idea to think of this as two 8K files next to each other,” xilamonstrr said in a post. “For 16K, the dragon’s wings are 7380 x 4020 pixels, the head is 3320 x 2480 pixels, and the entire rear torso and legs are only 6080 x 4580 pixels. If you’re fighting the dragon up close and want to see it in 4K, resolution The dragon must be 16K to raise it. “

The post also includes some updated dragon screenshots (above). Players using high-end PCs should consider adding this mod to their collection if they are still roaming the Skyrim after more than 10 years. It has been released.

Of course, the Elder Scrolls VI is likely to be years away, so there is no alternative. Director Todd Howard revealed last year that Bethesda’s new space RPG Starfield was prioritized over Skyrim’s sequel. This was recently postponed until next year.
