Sony Is Working on a Days Gone Movie

Now that we know Sony is working on a Days Gone movie, the parade of movie and series adaptations for the PlayStation continues.

Reporter deadline, Sony PlayStation Productions appears to be developing a film adaptation of X-Men: First Class story developer Sheldon Turner. The film will be produced by Vendetta Productions and PlayStation Productions.

Released in 2019, Days Gone is an open-world action-adventure game set in a post-apocalyptic Pacific Northwest. The game stars Deacon St John, a motorcycle-riding bounty hunter who battles Freakers, zombie-like creatures that attack frequently in packs. Deacon also spends much of the game searching for the long lost love of his life. The report states that the film is “a love ballad for motorcycle movies, where the motorcycle is Deacon’s only means of transportation.”

Producers are currently eyeing Outlander star Sam Heughan to play Deacon St. John. The actor has also appeared in The Spy Who Dumped Me, Bloodshot, and the upcoming Everest movie.
