Sony Working to Increase PS5 Supply in Time for the Holidays

Sony says it is increasing production of the PlayStation 5 and “is working to boost more supply for the New Year holiday season.”

Sony had previously promised to increase production this year, but supply was still constrained and the new unit sold out almost immediately. In a question and answer session, Sony CFO Hiroki Totoki said, “I want to increase production as soon as possible.”

Sony has consistently improved its hardware and services since the launch of the PS5. Recently, we’ve added an update to support 1440p monitors and introduced the new PlayStation Stars loyalty service.
