Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Has an Arachnophobia Toggle That Lets You Remove Spiders Altogether

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will feature an arachnophobia mode that will completely eliminate spider-like enemies from the game.

Many arachnophobic gamers lamented the presence of giant spider-like enemies known as Wyyyschokk in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Wyyyschokk enjoyed haunting the lush forested Wookiee homeworld of Kashyyyk and ambushing the protagonist, his Cal Kestis, at the most inopportune moment.

Unfortunately for some, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will feature at least one enemy with an arachnid nature. This time, however, Respawn Entertainment has done us mercy by including a handy option that allows players to completely eradicate the arachnid threat from their game by simply pressing his menu toggle.

As highlighted on their Twitter account Daily Jedi Survivorand Respawn Entertainment, independently verified by IGN, include an Arachnophobia option that allows you to remove spider-like enemies from the game entirely.

This thoughtful feature reflects the efforts of other developers, including Obsidian Entertainment. Obsidian Entertainment added a setting to its survival game Grounded last year, allowing players to choose the level of detail at which arachnid enemies are present. At Safe Mode’s highest settings, he’s essentially reduced to a collection of floating blobs with eight-legged inhabitants, rendered more comical than menacing.

Meanwhile, other game creators have chosen to sprint in the exact opposite direction. Indie developer Asymmetric has included an option for Arachnophilia in their adventure RPG Shadows Over Loathing, making spiders always on screen.
