Star Wars: The Old Republic Creative Director Steps Down

Almost 16 years later, Star Wars: The Old Republic’s creative director Charles Boyd leaves BioWare.

Boyd has been with Star Wars: The Old Republic for over a decade and was also part of a team that helped make that happen.according to Wookiepedia, Boyd joined BioWare in 2006 and was part of a team of writers who helped build the foundation for Star Wars MMOs.

His team was led by Daniel Eriksson, and Boyd helped create a story for the Trooper class in particular. After Ericsson left in 2012, Boyd became the lead author with Hallhood, and they worked together on the story of the rise of the Hat Cartel. He continues to work on many other expansions and will officially become the creative director in 2016.

“Nearly 16 years later, I still can’t completely believe how lucky I was to work in Star Wars: The Old Republic,” Boyd wrote. “The Star Wars galaxy has always been a big part of my life since I was a kid, so it contributed to the growth of SWTOR from its initial vision to its huge release, and has been believed for over a decade. We’ve provided an incredible amount of live service. The team’s passion, creativity, and dedication to this game are amazing. It’s a complete expression of how much we admire and appreciate working with them every day. I don’t think you can.

“As always, SWTOR’s work for the future has some exciting things like stories, planets, gameplay, characters, etc. I’m really looking forward to experiencing them all with us. .player.

“Thanks to the team, Lucasfilm’s longtime partners, and everyone. Thank you for this wonderful journey. I may move on from the project, but the Old Republic will never leave my heart. . “

When Boyd leaves, Star Wars: The Old Republic continues to exist and the team is working hard on Game Update 7.1 on August 2nd. This adds a new daily mission arc to players in the Republic and Empire of the planet Manan. Weapon improvements for player teams and outfitter systems. It also reveals “an important revelation about Darth Margas and the Sith lord who has the relics he has pursued.”
