Street Fighter 6: Capcom Reveals Classic Street Fighter 2 Alternate Costumes
Capcom shared the first look of an alternative costume for Street Fighter 6. Some outfits should bring a wave of nostalgia to longtime fighting game fans.
As part of the SDCC 2022 Street Fighter panel, Capcom has revealed that Ryu, Chun-Li, and Guile are getting DLC costumes that recreate the classic Street Fighter 2 outfits. Chun-Li can also make her classic provocation with hit detection. See the classic design below.
Capcom also showed off Luke in streetwear. This version of the character wears shoes, but that doesn’t apply to the default outfit. Luke’s rival Jamie also got another costume with a pretty sick chain.
There was no announcement as to whether this DLC was paid or free. Also, I don’t know if DLC will be available at launch or afterwards. Street Fighter 6 will be released next year on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X | S, and PC.
We experienced Street Fighter 6 at the Summer Game Fest last month and showed off 21 minutes of gameplay. The game was officially announced earlier this year and includes three new modes, several return modes, and a single-player story mode called World Tour.
