Super Punch-Out!!’s Secret Two-Player Mode Discovered After 28 Years

Super Punch-Out!! has always been a competitive multiplayer game, but it took fans 28 years to figure it out.

at the beginning of the day, Twitter account Unpublished cheats Revealed two new previously undiscovered cheats for Punch-Out!!’s sequel, Super Punch-Out!! Released in 1994.

The first cheat gives access to free singles matches with any fighter in the game.Hold Y+R on the controller connected to player 2’s slot, then on player 1’s controller[スタート]It can be accessed by pressing .

Amazingly, the second cheat actually lets you play as one of the 16 characters in Super Punch-Out!! and even perform special moves. Want to use Bald Bull’s charge attack? Just press Down + B to move (hope you don’t get punched at the wrong time).

To access 2 Player Mode, you must enter the Free Match Mode screen. After selecting a fighter and going to the character info screen, hold B+Y on him on player 2’s controller and press start on player 1. From that point on, you will be able to control the second fighter.

Both cheats have been confirmed to work on the Nintendo Switch Online version of Super Punch-Out by IGN. A complete list of verified cheat codes can be found in the SNES Cheat Codes Guide.

It’s unclear why this incognito mode has been hidden all this time, but it could be for testing purposes. You will be able to maximize your power.

This isn’t the first Punch Out!! The game had multiplayer. Wii’s Punch Out!! There was also multiplayer, but instead of one of his real boxers he fought Little His Mac clone. In contrast, Super Punch-Out!! now lets you play as a crazed circus clown.
