Tears of the Kingdom Players Are Once Again Elaborately Murdering the Yiga Clan

Players in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom are taking advantage of the game’s new Ultra Hand ability to craft ridiculously elaborate traps and stay one step ahead of the pesky Ega clan.

These dastardly villains roam the map disguised as regular NPCs, then suddenly attack Link. However, the power of Respawn allows players to stay one step ahead of covert attackers.

This was a trend in its predecessor, Breath of the Wild, but Tears of the Kingdom players, like Fareeha on Twitter (below), have basically taken advantage of the new mechanics to kill themselves for poor Yiga Clan members. is creating a trap for

Fareeha has assembled a remotely controlled detonating lava shower that is triggered by bombs when Yiga Clan members spring out to attack. This traps the NPC inside the box, and lava erupts from above, allowing the enemy to be taken down in a short amount of time (although Fareeha admitted that he “spent too long on this”).

“We’re going to kill Ganon in the shower,” they added. Of course, all is fair in love and war, and the Yiga Clan definitely started this fight. Players of Tears of the Kingdom are also fascinated by the clan’s obsession with Link, and their lair holds ugly paintings of the Hyrulians.

Tears of the Kingdom seems to have a lot of little details like this to keep players interested, and recently discovered that Hyrule’s inhabitants have a peculiar conversation when Link skips the opening area. Some people did.

Players are also using their new powers to shortcut Korok’s puzzles and head-on bullying forest dwellers.

In its 10/10 review of the game, IGN said, “‘The Legend of Zelda: Kingdom of Tears’ is an immeasurable sequel that expands beyond expectations on an already fulfilling world and raises the bar even higher. It has been raised,” he said.
