The Best PlayStation Character: Our Face-Off Winner Revealed

Since the first console launched in Japan in 1994, PlayStation has captured the hearts of millions of gamers around the world. In addition to world-class gameplay and cutting-edge graphics, the story and the characters that inhabit it are key to its success. but, many With so many characters over the years, it can be difficult to know who’s the best.

The best PlayStation characters were determined after thousands of battles in matchups like Cloud Strife vs. Solid Snake and Nathan Drake vs. Aloy. Who took the top spot? Drumroll please…

Boy… what a choice. With his god-worthy 89.4% win rate, Kratos once again beat everyone in front of him to earn this coveted platinum his trophy. The God of War Ragnarok star, who first appeared on his PlayStation 2 in 2005, has won 42,088 out of 47,099 battles.

Kratos’ chances of winning may have been heightened by the recently released God of War Ragnarok, but being an iconic character who has undergone some of the greatest character growth seen in and out of video games. No doubt about it. That means I gave both 2018’s God of War and this year’s God of War Ragnarok a 10/10. This is a big reason why Kratos and Atreus’ out-of-combat emotional journeys and angry cries have been.

PlayStation’s road to glory was rocky, but Uncharted’s Nathan Drake put up a good fight and finished second with an 83.2% win rate. Nathan Drake has been one of the most recognizable characters on the PlayStation roster in recent years, and his popularity has also helped him make the jump to the big screen.

Speaking of characters worthy of a media change, The Last of Us’ Joel Miller took third place with an 80.8% win rate, while Ellie finished eighth. It may be a while before another adventure featuring these characters begins, but Joel and Ellie will be brought to life by Pedro Pascal and Vera Ramsey on HBO’s The Last of Us early next year.

The top 10 are Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid, Spider-Man/Peter Parker from Marvel’s Spider-Man, Lara Croft from Tomb Raider, Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy VII, Ellie from The Last of Us (as mentioned above), and Ratchet & Clank. It was a ratchet. , and Hitoshi Sakai from Ghost of Tsushima.

At the other end of the PlayStation spectrum are Odin Sphere’s Oswald and Gwendolyn, who occupy the bottom two spots. At IGN, we love Odin Sphere and its remake Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir, but these games are a bit niche compared to others.

The Mark of Kri’s Rau Utu follows Odin Sphere’s friends, and unlike many of the characters on the list, has not had a new game or appearance since 2005. Frank Carter from The Getaway is part of Rau. I placed one in front of Rau, even though it was . Fat Princess followed suit in the PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale roster.

Rounding out the bottom ten were Mark Hammond from The Getaway, Delita Heiral from Final Fantasy Tactics, Lian Xing from Siphon Filter, Lammy from UmJammer Lammy, and Manon Batiste from Medal of Honor.
