When asked about memes in an upcoming free crossover fighting game with characters from various properties owned by Warner Bros. Discovery in a panel focused on MultiVersus, MultiVersus game director Tony Huynh said the memes were official. Confirmed that it was added to Canon.
“It’s a meme, but it’s actually a canon,” Finn said. “The movie has a scene of the battle at that bar. Last year there was an animated movie of Mortal Kombat, which was related to it.” The movie of Mortal Kombat refers to Mortal Kombat Legend: In the Battle of Realm, Shaggy appears in the intro of the Warner Bros. Animation.
Ultra Instinct Shaggy Memes have been around for years.As KnowYourMeme Note, the origin dates back to 2017 after being created by YouTuber Shaggy remix From the 2011 animated movie Scooby Doo! The legend of Phantom Saurus. And memes have been added to MultiVersus. Character bio Reveals that Shaggy has “incredible power”.
In addition to confirming that “Ultra Instinct Shaggy” is a canon, the MultiVersus SDCC panel also confirmed that three new characters, LeBron James, Morty Smith, and Rick Sanchez, have been added to the roster. You’ll see some Revlon gameplay and the characters will be available starting July 26th. Morty Smith will be playable starting August 9, but Rick Sanchez’s release date has not yet been announced.
