Riot Games will begin testing voice chat surveillance technology in Valorant next month as part of a broader strategy to combat the game’s “destructive behavior.”

Brave players use technology to analyze voice chat, but at this stage it is not determined if it is appropriate. Riot said the test period will be conducted only in North America and English and will be used “to train the language model and introduce the technology in a place sufficient to release a beta later this year.” ..
Only when the technology works effectively will Riot release an official beta and begin evaluating player voice chat following reports of disruptive behavior. “This is a whole new technique and will definitely increase the pain,” he said. “But for everyone who chooses to play, it’s worth it to promise a safer and more comprehensive environment.”
