Vampire Survivors Is Getting an Animated TV Show

Story Kitchen has partnered with Vampire Survivors creator Luca “Poncle” Galante to bring the gothic world of his viral video game to TV.

Vampire Survivors is taking Steam by storm when it launches in 2022, and is said to be looking for writers to adapt the indie hit into a “premium animated TV series.”according to deadlinethe idea will be pitched to anime TV network buyers in the coming months.

The game concept is simple. Just stay alive as long as you can while endless hordes of enemies are looming, move around and avoid getting hit while your weapon automatically attacks. However, the fast-paced unlocking of dozens of auto-fire weapons makes each roguelite his survival run more interesting than the last.

“The most important thing about Vampire Survivors is the story, so seeing a little indie game I made over the weekend come to life as an animated TV show was a dream come true!” Galante said in a statement. “It’s also great to partner with such experienced and talented people to make the show. I wonder if they realize there isn’t a single vampire on Vampire Survivor.

Story Kitchen was founded by John Wick creator Derek Kolstad, Sonic the Hedgehog producer Dmitri M. Johnson, and former APA agent and partner Mike Goldberg. The trio joined forces last year on a mission to jointly build and expand their own worlds and universes.

However, Johnson was initially ready to dismiss Vampire Survivors as “just a vampire game”, but after playing “hundreds of hours” he realized that the game’s gothic world “didn’t get enough”. After that, he admitted that he was “crazy”. .

These same thoughts were echoed in IGN’s review of the game, scoring it 7/10 and stating: I may not be able to let go for a while. “
