What is Pikmin 4?

Pikmin is a real-time strategy game series dating back to 2001 when the original title appeared on the Nintendo GameCube. This fourth work of his has been a long time coming, with Shigeru Miyamoto saying in 2015 that it was “very close to completion”. After 7 years, it will finally be released in July.

This article introduces new Ice Pikmin that freeze enemies and the environment to help you navigate strange planets found by alien plants. The plants aren’t alone this time either, but are aided by a round dog called Orch. Orch can break through barriers and swim across ponds and puddles with Pikmin on its back.

Overall, it looks like it will be a lot of fun for fans of the series and anyone interested in a colorful, cartoony strategy game.
