StudioMDHR has been working on Cuphead in some way for over a decade. But with the Imminent Delicious Last Course, Studio MDHR needs to look to the future. Is there more cuphead after the cuphead?
According to Maja Moldenhauer, Studio MDHR started working on the Delicious Last Course because it still had a lot of Cuphead on the floor of the cutting room from the beginning. Elements such as the playable Miss Chalice and many of the new Delicious Last Course bosses were ideas that were born during the development of the original game and required extra DLC time to see the light of day.
But now that the last delicious course is over, Moldenhauer says there is nothing left sitting on the drawing board somewhere. “We have taken it all in.”
So where is Studio MDHR, a studio that’s been just Cuphead since 2010? Moldenhauer confirms that this is certainly the end of Cuphead’s “not dealing with the devil”, but it’s certainly not the end of studio work. She hasn’t yet elaborated on whether the perceptual drinking boat will return in the future, but she provided one clue:
“The sky is the limit,” she says. “I have a lot of ideas in my head about where I want to go and what I want to do. We say we love 2D animation. We love everything from pencils to paper, but beyond that, where But you can go. “
No matter what Moldenhauer does, it will take a long time to figure out, given the long development cycles of both Cuphead and Delicious Last Course. As far as the Studio MDHR team is concerned, Moldenhauer isn’t too worried. I will take care of you.
