Xbox Game Pass Friends and Family Plan Confirmed, Initial Pricing Details Revealed

Microsoft has finally revealed the long-rumored Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family Plan. Just days after the logo was leaked, a new subscription tier was confirmed.Xbox is testing a new plan that subscribers can share with up to four other friends and family in Ireland and Colombia. announced that Ireland and Colombia cost €21.99 and 49,900 COP per month respectively.

Friends & Family Plan members get all the usual benefits of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, including cloud streaming and game rotation selection. Pricing details haven’t been disclosed in the US, but we believe it’s about $10 more than the current Xbox Game Pass Ultimate plan (currently $14.99). This is a great service for college students who have just returned to their dormitories, as it is a plan that allows multiple people to share the dormitory fee.

In addition to initial pricing details, Xbox also released an FAQ Learn more about how the service works and how it works in different regions. It was also confirmed that a user can only be a member of one group at a time, and group members can only join groups twice a year.

Subscribers changing their current plan convert their remaining hours according to the following formula:

  • 30 days of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate are 18 days of Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family
  • 30 days Xbox Game Pass (console) is 12 days Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family.
  • The 30-day PC Game Pass is the 12-day Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family.
  • 30 days of Xbox Live Gold are 12 days of Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family.
  • 30 days of EA Play is 6 days of Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family
