A bug in The Sims 4 causes player sims to age incredibly quickly, skipping birthdays and going from toddler to senior in a matter of minutes.
As reported by PC gamera new update that added several features, including the ability to specify a Sim’s sexual orientation, also brought this weird bug.
Only players using the “Short” and “Long” Sim Lifespan options appear to experience super-fast aging, while players on the “Normal” setting appear unaffected.
Big problem here. I opened my house and played for about 10 minutes. When I go back to the house I manage, everyone is old. Children are teenagers and young adults are mostly older people. Their birthdays are nowhere to be found. How can I fix this? I already saved 🙁

Twitter user @windyroses_ (above) says that after 10 minutes of play, “children become teenagers and young adults become almost elders.” Age progression occurs without the usual notice of birthdays, and even pets are reported to be getting too old and dying.

Several other reports of the same issue have scored issues with members of The Sims 4 Live Operations team. @SimGuruNick On Twitter, the development team said they are aware of the issue and are currently investigating.
For players playing with shorter or longer lifespan settings, there is no safe alternative for the time being.
