Adorable Social Sim Mineko’s Night Market Reemerges With New Trailer

It’s been a while, but the adorable social sim Mineko’s Night Market is still in development, and a new trailer for the cat-filled game has surfaced at Gamescom this week.

Mineko’s Night Market follows a young girl, Mineko, who has just arrived on Mount Fugu in her predicament. Villagers have begun to find the mysterious sun cat Abe, whom they worship. Mineko must work to restore her village to its former glory through daily activities, quests, crafting, and participation in the weekly night market where you can buy, barter, befriend townsfolk, and enjoy games. .

For those of you who follow Mineko no Yoichi, thank you for waiting. The game was first announced in his 2015 and was slated for a 2019 release, but was delayed multiple times. It was created by a very small team, but has since acquired a number of partners, including the publisher of Humble Bundle and his A Shell in the Pit for voice. There is currently no release date, but it is expected to arrive on Nintendo Switch and PC at some point.

The actual release date has been vague for a long time, but each time Mineko’s Night Market reappears, it just keeps looking better and better. Hopefully, this latest trailer means we’ll be able to visit the night market sooner or later.
