Atari Is Releasing a $1,000 Boxset for Its 50th Anniversary and It’s Only Making 100 of Them

Atari is celebrating its 50th anniversary in style, with a $999.99 collectible box set containing 10 Atari 2600 cartridges with reimagined artwork, an acrylic topper that glows when inserted into the console, and more . Oh and only 100 available worldwide.

As detailed by Atari, These cartridges include Adventure, Missile Command, Warlords, Super Breakout, Crystal Castles, Haunted House, Yars’ Revenge, Centipede, Asteroids, and Gravitar, also featuring remastered versions of the original key art. .

Also included are cardstock posters, instruction manuals with bonus material, hard enamel pins, patches, certificates, and digital copies of each game playable on the Atari VCS. And if that’s not enough, when you combine all 10 cartridges you’ll see the Atari 50th Anniversary logo, making it a perfect addition to any collector’s shelf.

Atari points out that the collection is currently pre-production and the artwork is subject to change. Currently accepting reservations. Those who want to secure it will have to wait three to four months to get the product. Also, please note that once the pre-order period ends, all orders are considered final and cannot be cancelled.
