Avatar Generations released today for iOS and Android, and was celebrated with a new trailer by developer Navigator Games and publisher Crystal Dynamics Eidos Entertainment. Free to play with in-app purchases.
The trailer briefly introduces several characters from the series in combat, as well as some of the user interface. Characters seem to have star ratings that indicate their strength up to 6 stars. Players can also level up their arts to make them more powerful.
The game is a turn-based RPG where players collect and team up different characters from the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender to play through various iconic moments of the franchise. New scenarios will also appear.
You can collect a variety of characters, including the main cast of Katara, Sokka, Zuko, and Tofu, as well as supporting characters such as Blue Spirit, Princess Yue, and Kyoshi Senshi Suki. Future updates to Avatar Generations will offer additional characters, companions, cosmetics, and customizable gear.
Avatar Generations is the latest game based on the Avatar: The Last Airbender franchise since 2014’s Legend of Korra by developer PlatinumGames. In IGN’s The Legend of Korra: The Game review, we said: Even with a reputable developer behind it, The Legend of Korra game has put us off. ”
