Cyberpunk 2077 Just Got Official Mod Support

CD Projekt Red has released an official modding tool called REDmod that allows Cyberpunk 2077 players to officially create and install their own mods into the PC version of the game.

As reported by euro gamer, REDmod tools include custom sounds, animations, scripts, and more, allowing players to easily create custom content. And to maintain compatibility, it will be updated regularly as new Cyberpunk 2077 updates are released.

“The REDmod modding tool can be used separately (on the command line) or integrated into the WolvenKit mod editor (recommended for best experience and ease of use)” Official website read.

REDmod is also completely optional, branded as Cyberpunk 2077’s DLC rather than a mandatory system, so users can still use the old modding system if they wish.
